The Creative Technologies Team can take an idea through the design and development stage bringing in appropriate expertise to the idea to become a product through to market, whilst maintaining the creative vision and integrity of the initial concept. From a design aspect the idea, the packaging, the instructions are thought through, developed and undertaken. The team can analyse how products are manufactured from the physical sense through to production, processes and materials, and can determine whether any enhancements or modifications can be made to further improve a product.
Prototyping can be made within the university workshops allowing businesses to then progress their product towards the marketplace. It also allows the opportunity to refine any areas before going into production. The Rapid Design and Manufacture Centre has the latest facilities to undertake work of this nature.
